I had a pretty good thanksgiving...it was not nearly as bad as I imagined...except ADDhubby and I did all the cooking, buying, preparing, etc...everybody else, just show up to eat, then fall asleep. Is this how its supposed to be....when my kids where home I did not mind...but all the money and time for grown folks...seriously would it be rude to ask for/expect a donation. I would happily pay someone for their time/trouble...as a matter of fact. I'm a payer by nature.
I never want anyone to throw stuff up in my face about what they did for me...so I pay people for everything....gas, time, EVERYTHING...I appreciate it when someone does something for me and this is just the way I do. Why doesn't everybody?
I know people don't have money all the time...but shit offer your time...can I clean up the kitchen for you?-since you cooked every morsel that I ate today; can I vacuum? - I know you had lot of people over today...can I take the trash out?...damn something....these people, came, they ate, they carted food out (saying we wont be over tomorrow, so let me get some) and then they show up today, asking/looking for more food---what about the shit you took home yesterday?
Some people have so much nerve. I'm glad its over and I'm not cooking for Christmas!

Oh yeah funny 2 y.o. grandbaby story...he was running around with an empty paper towel roll, saying "I love Ro-Ro" (me)...I put the other end to my mouth to say I love him and he backed up, making a face...I said "whats wrong"..he said "your breath"...I said "what, it smells like coffee?" he said "NO, it stinks". I could do nothing but crack up....

I feel you on the clean up part. Im a lazy tramp tho'. We went over my uncle's and there was at least 30 people over there so I figured I'd lay down and let them have at it..LOL. Yes, and me and the fam returned for seconds today..LOL. My mom is cool though (she lives with my uncle and family) she is always like "let me take care of that for you, cus I dont want no mess" soooo, therefore I stay out the way. Im glad you had a nice holiday though, your grandbaby is hilarious..LMAO
LMAO @ your grandbaby!! See, now you got me feeling bad about that plate I took home from some friends house the day after Thanksgiving. They offered like 3 times, so finally I accepted. i shoulda left a tip or something. LOL
Poc and Rashaan...the caveat to my complaint shouldve been that I was feeling like this because it was my husbands family....now, had it been my kids or relatives, it wouldve been all good to take out and come back...I know...its sad, but its me.
