ADDson#1...finally talked to him

After sending ADDson1 multiple e-mails, myspace messages and ESP signals...(all this because I accidentally erased his cell phone #)...I finally told my sister to have him call me. Instead she gave me his number. I called and (he, who must have been missing me too) I surprisingly did not get his voice mail - It was him who answered.

ADDson1 is 23, living in CA on his momma and aunts dime - trust me its for the best. He goes to College full time and plays football. I'm trying to think who he looks like....hes 6'7, 300 lb - he once placed a personal ad stating that he was a "Samoan - for your afternoon delight"...why do boys never grow up? - probably cause they momma and aunt take care of 'em...hahahaha...i answered my own question.

I had him when I was 15, so we essentially grew up together. He tends to forget the hierarchy and I have to cut his big ass down. He has ADD and recognizes the need for medication, unfortunately he only wants to take it when he needs it, and the meds don't really work like that, they have to build up in your system...so then he thinks they don't work and refuses to take them until he has a big test coming up...its a cycle that he is going to have to break...I'm done trying to explain.

In addition to me missing hearing his voice, I wanted to explain the situation of my sister and I not working together, so money was going to be tight. Next semester he is going to have arrange his schedule so that he has freedom to work.

I know that millions of people work, go to school, play sports, have social lives, etc...but it's a process with him. This was his first semester back in College, and we wanted him to get acclimated to the educatory process, as well as the responsibilities of being a student athlete.

Now that he's got a semester under his belt and football season is ending, its time to throw something else in the mix...Damn this sounds like he's retarded...I promise you he's not, he's really smart...so smart, that he's probably playing me and aunt right now - ahh the true puppet master. I would not put it past him - when he was younger, I was trying to teach my kids how to cook and they all had a day...(later on he told me) that he intentionally burned the tuna casserole so that I would not make him cook again...and that's what happened...it was horrible...I still remember the big, black flakes all through it.

ADDson1 proceeded to inform that he had a few friends that understood his situation and were able to help him out. First I asked "what situation" - he said that he was a student without a job, then I asked if he was taking advantage of the girls (KARMA - he believes in)...he said no, they don't have cars, so he can drive them and they pay. OK I guess, if they like it, I love it.

Anyway it was good to hear his voice. He has always been the son to ask advice, to say when he messed up, to apologize, etc...He has never been much of a liar...he tells the truth to a fault, sometimes I wish he would lie...sad but true!
