Phew got through that with no major hiccups...

One holiday left..when ADDson #1 & 2 left the house...I decided to stop celebrating Christmas...not really stop celebrating, but do the Jehovah Witness thing and not give gifts.

Mainly because...I am a chronic "over-doer". I would buy shit they (my kids) saw in January and thought they wanted and everything that I thought I would want to have if I were there age and a boy. Also, I would still be paying for the prior year Christmas' credit card purchases...so I thought "fuck this", I'm stopping - no tree, no dinner, no presents, no cards, nothing...yes everyone thought I was crazy, because I had always given presents...not cheap presents either. The last year I gave presents, I bought 7 satellite radios for the men in my life...but the cheap bastards did not want to pay the subscription fees, so they never installed them. I wanted/tried to buy my sister a Tivo, because I love it and wish I could marry it, but she warned me that she would not pay for the subscription and after I offered to pay it for a year, she said that she would never connect it...

When I used to partake, I would put the tree up on Thanksgiving night, and be ready to pitch that bitch by Dec 15...the needles would be falling off a week later making a huge mess, or all the lights would get tangled...ugh just the thought of it is making my head hurt.

Now that I have a grandkid, I feel like the bug might be coming up again (I hit up black Friday sales like a mad woman, but ADDhubby was there to regulate), but fortunately he lives out of town and is still young. Another downer for me is all the secrecy...I have a very hard time not telling people what I got them...or giving it to them early...the problem with that is that my ungrateful, fucking-spawn will get to open a gift early and then still expect something on Christmas day.

Since I'm a struggling student...I better chill out and practice my Bah-Humbug!
